Shock projections
Each generated-layer shock has one value_path. It specifies the projection of the shock through the layer’s year columns.
| Approach | Use it when |
|---|---|
permanent_constant | One value begins in a selected year and continues |
temporary_constant | One value applies over an inclusive interval |
explicit | Only individually named years have non-zero values |
explicit_with_constant_tail | Named early values are followed by a permanent final value |
linear_phase_in | A value rises evenly to full size, is held, then ends |
piecewise_linear | Values interpolate between several turning points |
All approaches can declare units as per cent, percentage points, per cent of GDP or share of GDP. Units document the authored values; they do not rescale them.
The generated layer begins at its event_year and continues through the model projection horizon. Every authored year must be within that period.
