Shock projections

Each generated-layer shock has one value_path. It specifies the projection of the shock through the layer’s year columns.

Approach Use it when
permanent_constant One value begins in a selected year and continues
temporary_constant One value applies over an inclusive interval
explicit Only individually named years have non-zero values
explicit_with_constant_tail Named early values are followed by a permanent final value
linear_phase_in A value rises evenly to full size, is held, then ends
piecewise_linear Values interpolate between several turning points

All approaches can declare units as per cent, percentage points, per cent of GDP or share of GDP. Units document the authored values; they do not rescale them.

The generated layer begins at its event_year and continues through the model projection horizon. Every authored year must be within that period.

See combining shock projections for complete layers containing several shocks and for the link between setup, the generated CSV and design YAML.
